MVFF Award Winners

The Mill Valley Film Festival wrapped up another solid year with an 11-day Marin theater run! Hopefully you were lucky enough to make it out to the event and catch some amazing movies and get a look at (or get to meet) Emily Blunt, Clive Owen, Uma Thurman, Woody Harrelson, Bonnie Raitt or John Krasinski. Below are some of the festival’s award-winners, so be sure to get them on your NetFlix!
Audience Award for favorite US feature: Lee Daniels’ Precious: Based on the Novel “Push” by Sapphire.
Favorite World Feature: (A tie) Lone Scherfig’s An Education (UK) and Jann Turner’s White Wedding (South Africa).
Favorite Documentary: Rick Goldsmith and Judy Ehrlich’s The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers.
Favorite Children’s Feature: Stella and the Star of the Orient, directed by Erna Schmidt.
